A Very Vampire Christmas is a (very) short story by popular American author Charlaine Harris. Vampires Dahlia and Taffy are Christmas shopping at the Rhodes Marketplace Mall. Dahlia finds the whole Christmas thing annoying, but the firefighter crew of Engine 34 did save her life during the bombing of the Pyramid of Gizeh hotel the year before, and she wanted to show her appreciation. But then, just as their friend Matsudo Katamori arrives, they become aware of a potentially dangerous situation.T [...]

Very cute vampire Christmas story. I don't remember Dahila and Taffy from the Sookie books but enjoyed the story quite a bit.Would have liked to know who they were related to the vampires in the books we do know, but the story did establish they had their own sheriff a group of them lived with. Was originally published in Glamour magazine (that figures with vampires) in 2010. Link to story is on the story page.

Loved this original short by Charlaine Harris! "A Very Vampire Christmas" features Dahlia Linley-Chivers and her pursuit to shop at the local mall for some Christmas gifts for her "friends." Of course, the store elves surrounding the mall Santa are more than anyone bargained for

Great story! No Sookie in this one but boy was it a good one. The characters are fantastic, it's action packed, toss in a wee bit of sexya!

Didn't see any of the expected characters. In fact, I didn't recognize anyone, so I'm not sure how this very short story can even be considered in the Sookie series.

Great story, and it was nice that there was a link directly to it & it was free! I love all the short Sookie Stackhouse stories, maybe some day Chalaine Harris will publish them all together in one book when the series is finally finshed (although I hate to think of it ending soon) ~ like a Sookie Stackhouse compendum of short stories, she could call it: Short & Dead, or something like that. It would be nice to have a few short stories about some of the other vampires she hasn't written [...]

I have been reading the Dahlia short stories because they're supposed to be in the same world as Sookie Stackhouse, but I just really can't get into Dahlia's story. I will probably forgo reading any more of them. I don't find any of them overly exciting and they always have a super predictable ending. For being a badass vampire, I think the Dahlia stories are really corny and silly. The christmas theme was cute and that's really the only reason this has two stars from me.

I haven't read that much about Dalia but this story was fun to read. I never imagined that some things which are so cute and Christmas like can be so evil. I like Dalia and her two vampire friends and I wouldn't mind reading more about her, hopefully she will appear in one of the Sookie Stackhouse novels (while writing this I have read the first 8 Sookie Stackhouse novels). I'm hoping for it and otherwise another extra bonus story with Dalia would be nice too.

Dahlia & Taffy are two of my favorite characters from the Sookie-verse, but I have to say I didn't like how this story seemed to forget that Dahlia was once married to a werewolf, too. Things like that really bug me. Other than that, though, cute story.

Featured in December 2010's edition of Glamour magazine!Features Dahlia - a great character that I love in the short stories in the Sookie-Universe. Cute idea of real elves in the mall, great scene, but the story was just okay.I'm ready for a new Sookie story in 2011!
