Again, I know I say this more often than not in regard to Sandra Brown, I love her books. The fashions in this book were super, by the way. I chose to cast a young Robert Redford and Linda Carter. Lol.

This was a refreshing, happy ending romance, with some sculduggery thrown in. In addition, the setting was Maui. Easy, relaxing and enjoyable reading.

  • Lindsay

Too much romance and not enough plot for me.

  • NM Hill

Not into romantic type of books but I will say this was a nice change from what I read. It did have romance in it but not over the top. Ms. Brown is known for romance in her earlier writings which this is one. I thought I would try anyway and did zip through it enjoying it. I'm glad it worked out in the end for Arden and Drew. Sometimes it takes looking at oneself and soul searching to find what you really want and care for. If life could be like some books we read, wow!

An old favorite So happy this has finally come out in ebook, on of my favorites. A mother’s love for her child knows no boundaries and how deep that love will take her to find what she had to give away to keep the one she had safe. Beautiful story and a sensitive one for its time.

  • Irene

I was not impressed with this book . I was very disappointed how weak the plot was and the main characters disceptiveness while trying to connect with a child she delivered as a surrogate mother . Sandra Brown has written better

Not my favorite Sandra Brown Novel. Too much sex, not enough story.

The book was a little bit different than I expected, but I found it really likable. It read really easily, it had a good flow of the plot. Not too sweet as it sometimes happens with these kind of books. Both funny and sad at times. The secret which is mentionted in the title is revealed at the end of the first chapter which was a little disappointing because I was hoping that I would get to guess at least for a little while what the secret actually was. As to characters I found both: those I lov [...]

In a matter of full disclosure, I need to say that I've won this book in a giveaway. It came autographed and all and I was really excited about reading it. Which makes what I'm about to write even more difficult.Boy, is this book riddiculous. I mean everything about it is riddiculous: the main characters, the main characters' motives, the plot, the entire "mystery" I felt like strangling the heroine at least every two pages. And the guy I have absolutely no positive feedback about this book, so [...]

Yes, it’s a romance. It’s even *gasp*, a Harlequin romance. I like to read these once in a while, if only in homage to my grandmother, who reads nothing but Harlequins with covers featuring Fabio look-a-likes dipping the beauty and planting a kiss between her volumputous bosoms. Anyway, Sandra Brown has made it onto my acceptable list of romance authors, if only because her plots aren’t completely implausible. I had a little bit of an issue with them getting married 2 weeks after they met, [...]

Overall, I'm pretty happy with this story. The love story that is based on the loss and the efforts of each other to console each other. Not much to tell, but because it is one long essay Sandra Brown, I am quite happy to be able to get and read it.

  • Maura

This story was sort of unusual. Woman is seeking to gain access to a child she gave up for adoption after having been the surrogate . The catch is that she is also bio-mom. Child is 2 years old and his adopted Mom has died and a romance develops between bio mom annd dad.

  • Tara

A good story about a woman, who was emotionally abused by her husband and basically done wrong. She finally gets her life back on track, under false pretenses and it all comes out. Her new husband, tennis player realizes why she has don the things she has done and all is right.

  • Rebecca Dean

I read this book back in 1983 when it first came out. I liked Brown's writing back then and was interested to see if I still like it.The story was interesting, but my taste in "writing" has changed. I only gave it 2 stars because I have found authors I enjoy more.

  • Amar

This is one of my all time favorite Erin St Claire Silhouette booksjust love how 'in love' Drew is with Arden, how he obviously adores and treasures her from the beginning, they have such a sweet romance.

  • Christine

Harlequin nya Sandra Brown emang beda yaceritanya lebih berbobot dan bagus, i like it ^^

  • Chrissy

    Good, easy, romantic read.

  • Mary Frette

  • Barbara Gard

    ok , a romance novel

  • Lesli

Typical early contemporary Brown. The characters make or break her books.

  • Cws

    F Bro

  • Narine

    was ok book

  • LInda L

Slightly better than some of the "romances", but the heroine was -- as usual -- little better than retarded.

  • Jennifer Cline Kohler

Good read, but if you don't like romance this book isn't for you. It's pretty steamy

  • Jessica

Definitely not one of my favourite Sandra Brown novels
