This goes in the "hokey Harlequin" category. Too bad because the whole "nurse falls in love with her broody, scarred patient" is a trope with potential. Unfortunately, the main female character fell really flat, the plot twist was ridiculous (yes, even by the soapy standards of the genre) and at the 87% mark, there still had been no romance between the characters, leaving me baffled as to when, exactly, they were finally going to get together. It just didn't work for me at all.

Say what one will of Charlotte Lamb's books but they are never boring even when they don't satisfy in the romance department. The author always weaves an engaging story, but is less reliable in delivering a solid happy ending due to faults with the plot and/or the characters. So she is definitely a hit or miss author for me. Zachary is in love with a woman whom he barely sees a glimpse of, much less speaks with. He doesn't realize that his dream woman and Luisa, his nurse, are one and the same. [...]

This was a decent read,Zachary was in an accident and Luisa was a nurse taking care of him but as time passes by she starts to fall in love with him but then she comes to know the accident was caused by her father and her competition is a woman whom Zachary dreams but then as time goes by even Zach realises Luisa is attracted towards him and vice-versa but then there's also David even after all the misunderstandings they get their HEAOkay read

Thought this was a pretty decent read. I really did not like Luisa's father- talk about a whimp of a man! He let his younger wife lead him around by the strap & pretty much let her push his only child out of his life! Not a very good parent. The relationship with Zachary and Luisa was unconventional and it does seem to drag a bit how he doesn't really realize that fantasy woman and Luisa are one in the same, but it was still entertaining all around.

Nurse falls in love with patient, finds out a secret that involves her father, then decides she needs to be there for the patient more. It was okay but nothing really stood out for me.
