I am not impressed with this children's Bible version. The stories are overly abbreviated. The illustrations are a bit graphic especially for the younger readers. I think the 101 Favorite Bible Stories and the Egermeier's bible are much better choices to teach the kids from. The one positive aspect from this version are the questions after each story - but personally, any parent could ask good questions about the bible.

The kids loved reading through this Bible as a family. One of my favorites of all the Kids Bibles we have been through.

I absolutely adored this book and used it for all three of my boys. The illustrations were wonderful and Bible Stories were concise enough for my 3 year old to follow along and then answer questions.

My son and I read this as a part of Sonlight's P4/5 curriculum. We both loved this children's Bible. It is a good selection of Bible stories for preschoolers and early elementary age children. My son was very engaged in all the stories and looked forward to our daily Bible reading. The stories are about two pages long and there is a beautiful illustration included with each story. There are also a few extra illustrated maps and pictures that give a little more explanation to certain parts of the [...]

I really love this collection of Bible stories. It does a good job of not glossing too much over some of the bits that are harder for children, but not leaving them with nightmares of some of the more gory stuff in the Old Testament. It has nice illustrations and a few helpful maps. I'm so glad Sonlight has switched this to the P3/4 curriculum. We finally shelved the Bible that came with our P3/4 curriculum back in 2010 and read The Jesus Storybook Bible instead.

I am really enjoying this Bible with my 4 year old. The stories have a picture and a few questions at the end to ask to see if he was listen and understood what I read. The illustrations are vibrant and not child-like, but are very good to portray the story. I would recommend this for the preschool age group. A great Bible!

Very good children's Bible. It covers Bible history for ages 4-8. The pictures are realistic. Sometimes a little too graphic for young kids. There is a picture of Noah's Ark with people outside the ark where they are clearly in peril of dying and the cruxifiction is graphic for a very young audience. The Bible accounts are followed by two or three questions and the book is very well done.

Easy to understand for my 3-year-old and 7-year-old. Somewhat disturbing art occasionally, though, like people about to stab themselves with swords. Overall, though, a great introduction to the Bible for young children.

  • Rebecca

Nice short stories make it good for bedtime readings. Easy introduction to biblical topics for children.
