When deep sea diver Sarah's business partner and best friend stages an accident and leaves her for dead, she is rescued by a being that shouldn't exist. Abaddon, a gorgoyle condemned to eternity trapped in a cave beneath the sea, takes extreme measures to save her life, but what should have been a curse to her becomes a great blessing.A novella set in the author's Supernaturals paranormal world, Guardian of the Abyss is a lovely little romance, about redemption and hope. This was a wonderful story that had a wealth of depth and emotion. I read "A Wolf's Song "and I have been waiting for Shannon's next story. I love the fact that the heroine Sarah was so very protective of the hero Abaddon. So protective in fact that she was willing to die with him when he was in danger. Abaddon was large and fierce looking but that was only eclipsed by the beauty within his heart. How can you not love that kind of hero? His respect for all life was just so refreshing in a hero t [...]

An Excellent ReadI really enjoyed this book. It is well-written, and there were no inconsistencies in the story. The plot grabs you from the beginning and holds you until the end. I'm hoping this story continues at a later date.

There were a lot of awkward getting to know each-other moments, a few rushed sex scenes and a couple sweet passages, but almost no action at all. Once they reach dry land at last things pick up a bit, but I also felt like the story started to unravel a little bit. All of a sudden werewolves, vampires, goblins, etc were intro [...]
