4 stars.****Review posted April 16, 2013Dan, Jeff and Evan have a well established relationship by now. They get along well and they'd created a lot of good memories together. Memories like…Dan thought of Jeff's long, artistic fingers and smiled to himself. A canvas. That was what Evan had let himself become. A way for Dan and Jeff to express themselves: their desire, their love, their playfulness…everything they were. Dan let his mind drift, let himself remember the dazed, disconnected look [...]

3.5 StarsOf Dark and Bright is the last book in the Dark Horse Series. As always, I loved being with Dan, Jeff, and Evan. I wish this one was a bit longer so we could have seen more of them working on their problems. I felt like the issue with Jeff and the crisis with Tat only served to cover everything up. What happened with Tat went overboard and it seems a bit contrived. I still feel like Evan's on the sidelines, even though I know he brings on a lot of the trouble himself. It's the little th [...]

Another good book of this series! I loved the different POV's, and it was nice to see the emotions and insecurities of these three wonderful men! There were some things that I thought that were a little too much (view spoiler)[not only Dan had to deal with his pregnant and fugitive sister, his father also had to kidnap Tat I mean, poor Dan, he must felt terrible knowing that his family could ruin everything that he fought for (hide spoiler)]I love Dan, Evan and Jeff! They make, definitly, an unfo [...]

Ok, this is me taking a deep breath and trying to find a way to get my thoughts in order. I waited to write this review, wrote all the others for this series first, so I didn't let my grumpiness about Evan and a few of the twists and turns of this story bleed into them.First, there are some awesome reviews what this book is about, so I'm not going to really go I to all of it and again ( I know, I keep saying it, but it deserves repeating) this series really does show flawed men trying to make a [...]

4.5 stars. I really enjoyed this and read it in one sitting. I'm really attached to these guys. This book wasn't as emotional as the other two, despite some pretty serious events, but I did like being in all three men's heads. I think the POV changes helped me understand Evan better, in particular. I wish the book had been a little longer. And moved at a slower pace from issue to issue between the guys. Jeff may have been glad that the concatenation of events kept the guys from focusing on his s [...]

And here I am reviewing the last full novel of the Dark Horse series. Jeff, Evan, and Dan have been living together for the last two years. Then Dan’s sister shows up seven months pregnant and on the run from the law, and the situation goes from complicated to overwhelming. Jeff and Evan want to help, but with Evan fearful of his own sister’s safety and Jeff struggling to keep his health issues under wraps, they’re a little distracted. With emotions and family ties pulling them in differen [...]

What a great conclusion to the 'Dark Horse'. We had action, lovely intimate moments and VERY (I repeat VERY) steamy (view spoiler)[ These guys are SUPER hot together and with each other (hide spoiler)] sex scenes.I enjoyed it all - the moments like this d the moments like thisbut most of all the happiest moments like this The series are super wonderful and recommended to anyone who enjoys M/M as much as I do.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]& [...]

Dan, Evan and Jeff have been together for a while now, but there is still problems for the three of them trying to keep their triangle working. They seem to be doing ok, but now there is drama coming from outside of them. This series has kept me enthralled, and now all I can think about is when I will be able to re-read these books, plus finish up the few shorts I haven't read yet.The Dark Horse books are well written and character driven, and I have loved them all. I will read anything from this [...]

Well , the end of this series as far as the major stories are concernedjust one little novella to follow which I'll also be reviewing after this. 5 stars from me, . I've really enjoyed it, and can only once again thank my lovely Tina for the rec.Boy, there was a lot going on in this one. Dan's hugely pregnant sister Krista is on the runof course, the only person she can turn to is Danhe's solid, reliable and of course living with two other men, one of whom is absolutely loaded!! So what does she [...]

I love this series and the complex relationship between the guys. Kate Sherwood doesn't go for the easy outs and quick fixes. The characters are all flawed (and I often wanted to wack them over the head. Hard!). Often in the m/m books I read there is some sort of non-issue that is being played up into some sort of relationship threatening plot device, but can be wrapped up neatly and easily because it was really a non issue all along. In contrast I wasn't sure if I would have been able to work t [...]

In this book, third in the series, the boys have been together for two years but still have to maintain a delicate balance in their relationship. Evan fights his possessiveness, Dan questions the role he plays and Jeff continues to be the glue holding the relationship together. The story is fast-paced with story lines involving the extended group of family and friends. The series has an excellent cast of secondary characters and there is lots happening in this book. A great end to the series. I p [...]

Yet another satisfying tale in the saga of Dan, Evan and Jeff. There are some scary moments in this one for all. The tension was really well done. I was mad at every single character at some point in this book and that's when I know the author is being true to the personalities of each that she has created over the last two books and the other shorter stories. Even Chris pissed me off at one point! I pretty much read this in one sitting - seems like we've been waiting forever for it. Now of cour [...]

2.5 StarsI liked this series, but I feel the happy ending wasn’t convincing and I wanted a reassuring happy ending for Dan, after all the miseries he had suffered. Such a pity! The way Evan was treating and accusing Dan here truly upset me. Two years later, and there seems to be no improvement in their relationship. (view spoiler)[Evan had no right to hurt Dan that way and then have him in his arms like nothing has happened! And what was wrong with Dan? it seemed like he believed all the accusa [...]

You've got to love these three guys and root for their struggle towards a working menage. And it's such a wallow in emotional, squishy romanticism. Evan and Dan push each others buttons so easily and Jeff is forever the peace-maker, for good or not so good. Dan is an intriguing and well developed character. The effortless thrall he holds over Evan and Jeff, at the beginning of the series mostly physical and evolving to psychological as well is what really draws me in. But theirs is a loving comp [...]

Another installment into the lives of Dan, Evan, and Jeff. This one was a little crazier than the others as there were things happening outside of the relationship that were definitely causing some angst and tension. I've really loved reading this series, I'm a little bummed that it's over :(

  • Taintedskyee (Books Books&More Books)

If you don't read the entire series you wont like the dynamics of this Menage. So read it,Highly recommended series. While I figure out the Casting of the Characters.Review Coming soon.

Read it more or less in one sitting and can't get enough of these people!

I loved this book! Love love loved!! Another book that makes me hug my Kindle! I read this book in one day traveling on the train to NYC and back home for medical treatments. And while my mind tried to stress me out, i would open this book and get so wrapped in these wonderful men it was a smooth day for me! I think that is a true test of a excellent book, can it take you away from the stuff in your head that stress you out.I loved so many things about this story, I loved the multiple POV’s in [...]

A WONDERFUL CONTINUATION OF THE SERIES!Yeah the first book didn't made a good impression to me. But as I read on through the series, I've grown to love these characters and hoped that their relationship will be a fulfilling one.I liked the story. The plot was good in the beginning for me, but towards the end, I think the happenings were a little bit too much. But it was still fine for me.I loved reading about how the threesome had grown to loving relationship they deserved. I still adored Dan, E [...]

I love reading about these men. Jeff is my favorite, there I said it! When it comes to sexy time I think Dan and Jeff burn it up more than Dan and Evan. I need to see some Jeff and Evan heat next time. Now, all three burn the house down to ashes. Small gripe - I get that Evan's whole deal is his love for lil'sis, his role as parent and he wants to keep her safebut, enough already. These men have more issues to focus on other than her. I wanted them to focus on Jeff’s health scare. It was serio [...]

This was SO much better than I expected. Book 2 fell into a screaming heap for me (too much internalised whinging and waffling as I recall) after having loved book 1Going into this book I was pretty concerned about how Krista would feature and play out her part; but as much as there was focus on the 'criminal' plotline, equal focus was given to the difficulties in developing and maintaining a solid threesome.(view spoiler)[At one stage I couldn't see how Sherwood was going to keep the threesome [...]

TOS-compliant review: (I think, let me know when they tell us what the rules are). "The book I just read is about two (or three) lovely people, written in beautiful language, by a very good and prolific author. I liked it very, very much.It is for sale on .”For my honest and true view of the same book, please read…MORE DISCLAIMER: As of today my reviews will all have this pretty face, so that all and everyone on can stay happy and beatific.

  • KatieMc

Arggg 2.5 stars for me. I loved books #1 & #2 and I love these guys, but this one was borderline silly for me. Gone was the great banter, funny inner dialog and organic chemistry between the guys. Instead I got over the top drama with smexy scenes that seemed to be randomly inserted. Note to self: when you find a series that you like, spread the reading out. I think if I had waited to read #3, I may have been more excited to spend time with Jeff, Dan and Evan and probably more forgiving of t [...]

  • Natalie

I have mixed feelings about this one. I was happy to spend some more time with these characters, but I wasn't crazy about the plot. The series up to this point has been mainly focused inward (the beautiful exploration of loss and grief in the first book, for example), so the soap opera-ish events of this book seem out of place. Also, something about the relationship still seems unresolved, maybe (unless that was the intent?). I loved that this series addressed the emotional dynamics of a threeso [...]

  • Diana

As usual with Kate's writing I loved this book. It was everything I expected and more. I don't know how she can keep witing about the same characters and still keep my interest and has me at the edge of my seat. She can get inside each characters head so well that you know exactly how they're feeling.

  • Julia

Liked the final installment, but not as much as the others. The storyline felt a little too unbelievable to me. Loved the series as a whole though.
